Norah Marie Podey: Norah-7 Months

Our baby girl is seven months. SEVEN MONTHS. Slow down!!!

Lots of things have happened in the past month and your development has taken off. Its so fun to be able to experience all of these moments while being home over the summer. I think of my special needs students or other people I know who have family illness and think, "We are so. so. so. blessed" with a healthy family and a healthy little girl!

We had a little scare this month. Mommy was jogging with your cousin Asher and Addie (All of you in the jogging stroller) around Swan Lake. The front wheel came off and flipped the stroller and mommy tripped and fell on it. I just prayed and prayed that all three of you would be okay. There was a man on a run who was so kind and helped us back to the van. All of us were crying. We were so lucky it was only some road rash and bumps...no concussions, broken bones, or stitches.

Another scare we had was I found you in the crib with a cord wrapped around your neck. I have no idea how you found a cord, but once again, your Guardian Angel was watching out for us! It was just a reminder of how determined you are ( you had to have pulled yourself because the cord for the outlet was outside the crib) and how quickly we needed to baby proof EVERYTHING!

The past month you have:
*Started "real" crawling
*Pulled yourself up on things
*Starting to climb stairs
*Mimmicking "Baba" (Although mommy things you are actually saying it)

Some exciting things this month:
Swimming at the lake for the first time!
Got to celebrate Great Grma-Audrey's birthday and see your cousins from Michigan
Celebrated your first 4th of July-and stayed up for the fireworks (You loved them and just stared and snuggled)
Had some visitors from Texas stay with us (Cousin Jack, Shelby, Josh, and Garrett)
STILL our little Nosey Norah!

My prayer for you this month has been that you continue to remain pure in the Lord. I pray that you may always have the happy personality that you show to everyone around you. You are a light to all you see you, and I hope no one ever, ever takes that away from you!
